me and ma bike

Do you ever feel like you're on the road of life and you can't see where you are going or why you are going there? Thats kinda what I've been feeling lately that the Lords trying to tell me something but I'm just not getting it. its frustrating. you feel like you're stuck in sinking sand and you know theres a way out but you just can't quite grasp the lifeline... Sometimes you just feel like screaming. Sometimes it would be nice if the Lord would send me a his instructions to me in a neat little package spelling out to the "t" exactly what He want me to do. Like I said very frustrating. Please Pray for me.

I miss the hills! Hills always give me this peaceful feeling. :sigh: When I see hills all I need is wind and a horse. oh well

Still trying to rest in His Grace and give Him FULL control, (which is easier than it sounds)

Time for an update

I figured it was time to update seeing I hadn't done it in about....brain math...... from November 28th till now would be......oh just over a week thats not that bad.

Tonight I am watching 15 children between the ages of about 7 months and 13yrs. But my good friend Chrissy is coming to help so we're gonna have loads of fun. You may ask where I managed to get so many children. Well tonight is our Adult Christmas Banquet so I've got children from...5 different families including mine. so its gonna be fun!!!!

What to write about.

How important is the Bible to us? How often do we pick up another book rather than picking up our Bibles? I know I'm guilty of it more than I like to admit. Mighty men in the Bible held God's word in such high regard.

Psalm 17:4 Concerning the works of men, by the word of thy lips I have kept me from the paths of the destroyer.
Psalm 119:9 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.
Psalm 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
Psalm 119:16 I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word.
Psalm 119:17 Deal bountifully with thy servant, that I may live, and keep thy word.
Psalm 119:25 My soul cleaveth unto the dust: quicken thou me according to thy word.
Psalm 119:28 My soul melteth for heaviness: strengthen thou me according unto thy word.
Psalm 119:38 Establish thy word unto thy servant, who is devoted to thy fear.
Psalm 119:41 Let thy mercies come also unto me, O LORD, even thy salvation, according to thy word.
Psalm 119:42 So shall I have wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me: for I trust in thy word.
Psalm 119:50 This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me.
Psalm 119:58 I entreated thy favor with my whole heart: be merciful unto me according to thy word.
Psalm 119:50 This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me.
Psalm 119:74 They that fear thee will be glad when they see me; because I have hoped in thy word.

These are just a few. David had such a love for God's word. God's word was his everything it sustained him, it was his.... his life. And we brush it off as just another book and would rather pick up another book. It grieves me to see how cold and calloused my heart has become. lines have been running through my head for a couple of weeks I think I'm gonna sit down and write them down and put them on here the title is "On the inside I'm crying".

well I'm gonna head out I have a few things to do before the evening. God bless. Spend time with God.

These past 4 days have been a challenge. We had Francois Carr here from South Africa. He spoke on the Holy Spirit. It was challenging and uncomfortable. Just when you think you have reached a new level you find out that there is so much more and where you are is nothing compared to where you can be.

The indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Him living in you and beside you. Seeing everything you do, say, and even think. It has brought me to a new realization. I can't do some of the things I used to do. Not that they were bad in themselves but in the light of the Holy Spirit seeing everything you do and in the light of eternity they are nothing so why do them. I'm gonna have to pull out my notes yet and jot down some of the things he spoke about. You might get a lot of thinking and processing posts this week.

"When the sun starts to rise and I open my eyes, You are Good.
So Good.
In the heat of the day, with each stone that I lay, You are Good.
So Good.
With every breath I take in, I'll tell you I'm grateful again.
When the Moon climbs high before each kiss goodnight, You are Good.

"When the road starts to turn, around each bend I've learned,
You are Good. So Good.
And when somebodies hand holds me up helps me stand,
You are so Good.
With every breath I take in, I'll tell you I'm grateful again.
'Cause its more than enough just to know that I am loved and you are Good.

"So how can I thank you? What can I bring?
What can these poor hands lay at the feet of a King?
So I'll sing you a love song, its all that I have;
to tell you I'm grateful for
holding my life in your hands.

"When its dark and its cold, and I can't feel my soul.
You are So Good.
When the world has gone gray and the rains here to stay;
you are still good.
So with every breath I take in I'll tell you I'm grateful again.
And the storm may swell even then, it is well.
And you are Good.

"So how can I thank you? What can I bring?
What can these poor hands lay at the feet of a King?
So I'll sing you this new song, its all that I have;
to tell you I'm grateful for
holding my life in your hands.

That is one of my favorite songs right now

Blessings to you all as you seek Gods face

"Love through me, Love of God;
There is no love in me.
O Fire of love, light Thou the love
that burns perpetually.

"Flow through me, Peace of God;
Calm River, flow until
No wind can blow, no current stir
A ripple of self-will.

"Shine Through me, Joy of God;
Make me like Thy clear air,
That Thou dost pour Thy colors through,
As though it were not there.

"O Blessed Love of God,
That all may taste and see
How good Thou art, once more I pray:
Love through me - even me."

Christmas is coming

Well November has started. And the Sunday School has officially started with their Christmas Play. I'm really involved this year. My sister Sherry and I had the privilege of writing the script. It is so hard to find a good play off the internet so these past few years we have written our own, this is the first year that I have added in writing it. That is totally finished though which is a blessing.

At first My sister and I were going to direct it but it turns out that she can't so now my "co-director" Abe Fehr and I are doing it, which could prove to be interesting.

The Play is called "The Reason Why". A Grandma is telling the Christmas story to 4 of her grandchildren when she is interrupted and questioned as to why Jesus came to earth if he had a perfect home in heaven. so she goes all the way back to the beginning of time when sin first entered the world and Jesus coming to earth was Gods way of restoring that broken relationship.

Its really neat.

Why do People Worry?

This is one thing the Lord has really been convicting me of. Lately I've really been worrying about my future. I know, I know I'm only 16 but hey the devil gets in where ever he can. Nevertheless the Lord has brought it to my attention in many different ways first through my thoughts then through my Bible reading, then believe it or not through School. as most of you know I home school and we use the "Wisdom Booklets" They go though sermon on the mount verse by verse and apply it to all your subjects. its really neat. So this month our verses just happened to be Matthew 6:25-26 which says...

"Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?"

Talk about convicting. We're not even supposed to worry about what we're going to eat or wear!!! If we're not supposed to worry about these things and that life is more than this what is life about than?

Well in James it says that our life is but a vapor that appeareth for a little time and then it vanishes. Have you ever watched steam rise from your cup of morning coffee (for those who do that drink coffee) or form a pot of boiling water, how long does it stay there? for only seconds. Thats what our life is. we are only here for a short time. what are doing with our short life? are we building with hay, wood, stubble, or are we building with gold, silver, and precious stones? what will happen when our life is tried before Jehovah himself with fire? what happens to hay, wood, and stubble go into the fire? if you build with this you will end up with just ashes. But if we have built with gold, silver, and precious stones when the fire comes to them what will happen? nothing you can't burn gold, silver, and precious stones, you just change them from solid to liquid. But we can't literally build with gold, silver, and precious stones. What does the Bible mean when it tells us in 1Corinthians 3:13-15
" Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire."

A part of a sermon (which I have quoted some what already) I heard explained it like this. you know what I'll give you one better I'll let you listen to it for yourself.

I don't think I need to say any more. this is what we should base our lives on. When I hear this I wonder why things like food and clothes much less my future seem so important in the light of eternity. I should be more concerned with what I build my life on than what my life consists of.

Sorry I'm rambling. but all this seems to make this clearer to me. Thanks for hanging in there (if you read all of this!).

Your Sister through Christ,

May we all be able to say. "On Christ the solid rock I stand. ALL OTHER GROUND IS SINKING SAND!"

"Because He lives, I can face tomorrow,
Because He lives, all fear is gone.
Because I know he holds my future,
And Life is worth the living just because He lives!!!"

Did you really read it? you probably read the first line or two and figured you knew it so you would skip it and get to the post right? well if that's the case really read it this time.

"Because He lives, I can face tomorrow,
Because He lives, all fear is gone.
Because I know he holds my future,
And Life is worth the living just because He lives!!!"

Is life worth the living if the only reason is that he lives?
Do you know who holds your future?

That's the part that got me. lately I've really been thinking about my future and worrying about it. but if I know who holds my future why should I worry? well this song really spoke to me about this while Edward Klassen was playing it.

My Jesus is so Great. So forgiving. Someone told me I sounded all knowing when I told her to keep on for Jesus that its all worth it in the end. and that the valleys always seemed longer than the mountain tops but it was all worth it and I knew what she was going through. But I felt everything but all knowing. I feel such uncertainty at times. But My Jesus is Good. and He is the one that is all knowing.

Thanks for baring with me on my rambling.

Remember He holds your future DON'T WORRY (that's a reminder for myself as much as it is for you)

I haven't updated on here for awhile so I figured it was about time.

My weeks are packed. I have something up every evening. But my afternoons are still free so thats really nice. We're still waiting our curriculum we had one "Wisdom book" left from last year so we finished that one but now we're really waiting for our next ones to come.

Wedding plans are coming right along (No not for me :rolls eyes: for my sister) But please pray because my sister gets over whelmed pretty easily. And as most of you know that a wedding is no small thing to plan. so yeah. We know what pattern we want for the brides maids and we already bought the pattern for her dress now we just have to buy the material for hers as well as our brides maids dresses.

I've been looking all over for a series of books called "The Journals of Corrie Belle Hollister" I can't find the entire set anywhere. Does any one know where I could get them for a reasonable price?

I'm am officially finished filling out my passport I just have to go into the office in London. No I'm not planning on going anywhere in the foreseeable future but its just easier to cross the border with one. Dad and Mom want to eventually get one for all the kids but we're doing it a few at a time just 'cause its so expensive. So this time round its just Karen and I.

Nothing else to really post about. Watch it. as soon as I'm off the computer I'll find a "million" things to post about. Oh well.

This past weekend was WOW!!! I had so much fun!

We had the Wissmann family here for a "Family Life Seminar" they were here Friday night, Saturday night, Sunday morning and evening. Sunday afternoon we had lunch with the Wissmanns and then the youth joined us and we played Volleyball and Soccer, which was a BLAST! and there were a few of us who played Dutch Blitz. We had such a blessed time it was encouraging as well as challenging.

On top of all that I had a busy weekend. Friday before the service we had rehearsal for a wedding my sisters Karen, Sherry and I were singing at. we made it to the evening service just as the Wissmanns were about to begin so that was a relief. On Saturday we sang at the wedding which was at 10am. then my friend Susie and I hung out at Sherry and JP's place until choir practice that evening right before the evening service. Then on Sunday I was at Church all day from about 9:20am 'till 11:45pm. I was zonked. when we got home we prayed then went to bed. Karen and I ended up talking till about 1am. I slept so soundly that I didn't even dream!

"...the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations."
Psalm 100:5

The theme verse for the weekend was Psalm 127:1a
"Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it..." It was an eye opening weekend a lot of the stuff he addressed was geared towards married couples and Parents. but you can still pick out what applies to you and save the rest until it applies to you. I'm grateful that I am exposed to teaching like this before that season arrives. so that when it does I am some what prepared.

Well Blessings to ya'll

What the Lord showed me!

The other night I was out of sorts and on the brink of blowing my top but instead of blowing up I went up stairs and picked up my Bible and I opened up to my favorite Psalm, Psalm 91. and I read the first verse which says

"He who dwells in the secret place of the most High, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty"

I stopped there for a bit and asked the Lord where the secret place of the Most High is. well I kept on reading but I came back the the first verse and meditated on it for a bit and then asked the Lord again where the secret place of the most High is. Then in a still small voice I heard him say "The Secret place is right in the center of my will. When you are in the center of my will I will overshadow you and nothing can harm you" I was so amazed at the Lords goodness and with that it challenged me to be right in the center of Gods will, which for me right now is living from day to day! Lately I've been looking at what I want to do this summer and next year, and through this the Lord was telling me that I need to trust him with the future and for now just live today!

Isn't the Lord so good?

He Is Faithful!

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;

There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.

Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my

He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honor

With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
~Psalm 91~

This is one of my favorite psalms. I love the Psalms that talk about God protecting us and Him being near us.

This past weekend has been a struggle spiritually. But the Lord kept reminding me of His Love and his unchanging ways and his omnipresence. It is so good to know that he will NEVER leave me of forsake me! What a loving merciful Father we have! I cannot even begin to describe how wonderful he is to me!!!

I went in for my G1's and failed. but I went in the second time and PASSED. These past few days I've been praying and giving that test to the Lord and trusting him to do his will no matter the out come. when I failed he whispered in my ear "you gave this test to me and said that you would trust me no matter the outcome. Do you still trust me?" and through my disappointment I could answer "Yes Lord I do still trust you". So afterwards we met my older sister in town and so I went with her and did a bit of shopping and then went in again and I PASSED the Lord is so faithful, even when we are not! He is just so amazing I can 't get over it!!!!!!!

Hey Everyone

Hey I'm new to the "blogspot" world so let me introduce myself.

My name is Melodie Joy Wiebe. I live in a small village in Southern Ontario. I am 16 years old and the 4 oldest in a family of 8 children. My Dad Pastors a church on the shores of Lake Erie called "Lighthouse Gospel Church". I accepted Christ into my heart at the age of 5 and since then have grown closer to my Blessed Savior. My Goal in life is to Glorify God in all I do and In the future if the Lord wills Get Married and Set up a household that would be a haven of rest to all those who enter it. (but thats the future)

All right. This topic has been on my mind lately. So here are a few things that have come to my attention.
Here is a hand out I received at a conference I attended last year

Ten Messages We Give by the Clothes We Wear

1. Who Owns our Bodies
If we think that we own our bodies, we will also expect or demand the rights of ownership, including the right to wear what we choose. To this false assumption God states: "Ye are bought with a price. Therefore, glorify God in your body, and in you spirit, which are God's" (1 Corinthians

2. If We Esteem Our Royal Standing
As believers Jesus has made us to be "Kings and priests unto God and his Father" (Revelation 1:6) Jesus affirmed that kings wear royal apparel which set them apart from others around them. If we dress so that "we look like everyone else," we deny the standing given to us through the shed blood of Jesus.

3. If We Accept Our Ministry
Even though
Old Testament Temple worship has ended, the requirements for purity of life in the Temple continue. Paul affirmed this when he wrote, "If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are" (1 Corinthians 3:17)

4. How We Want Others to Treat Us
We have only one opportunity to make a first impression. "For man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart" (1 Samuel 16:7) Studies affirm that people quickly decide how they will treat us by the clothes we wear. In one study men who wore sports coats were brushed aside by others who were entering a store, but when those same men wore black suits people stepped aside for them. While we are not to gibe preferential treatment to others based on appearance, James affirms that people's natural tendency is to give more honor to those who have better clothing. (see James 2:1-4)

5. If We Understand the Cause of Lust
Lust begins with the eyes. The eyes are activated by what they see in style, tightness and amount of dress. Solomon warns young men about the "attire of a harlot" and not to lust after her in their hearts.
(see Proverbs 6:25) Jesus gave the same warning when He said, "Whosoever looketh on a woman (or man) to lust after her (or him) hath committed adultery with her (or him) already in his heart" (Matthew 5:28)

When a man or a woman dresses in sensually arousing clothing they stir up lust in others, which causes them to sin. "When lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death" (James
1:15). Sensual dress defrauds many others and brings God's discipline on the offender. Let "no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter, because that the Lord is the avenger of all such" (1 Thessalonians 4:6).

6. How We View Worldly Cultures
Our dress reflects what we think of the underlying philosophies of the secular world. Such philosophies are: attract attention with your body rather than a bright, wholesome countenance; be your own person by dressing the way you want and not the way your parents want you to dress; and conform to the world by looking like those who are into it rather than looking like on who has a Godly outlook on life.

God warns us to "love not the world..."(John
2:15). WE are not to let the world squeeze us into its mold, but we are to be transformed by the renewing of our mind so that we can know the experience God's will for our lives. (see Romans 12:1-2). The ability to stand alone in the area of dress is the heritage of those who k now that they represent, as an ambassador, the Lord Jesus Christ.'

7. If We Understand Satan's Goals
Satan's program is to disfigure, distort, defile, and destroy our bodies. He has four motivations to do this: our body is created in the image of God, and Satan hates Jesus. Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit, and Satan is warring against the Spirit of God. Finally, the members of our bodies become weapons of righteousness when they are yielded to God, and Satan knows that they can do damage to his kingdom. One of the most effective ways to resist Satan is to reject the ways in which he is destroyed the bodies of others by the symbols of sensuality, conformity and evil.

8. How We Honor Our Parents
If the clothes that we wear are causing contention with our parents or if we know that our authorities are not pleased with our dress or appearance, then we are violating the first commandment with promise. "Honor thy father and thy mother...that it may go well with thee"(Deuteronomy 5:16). This command is so important that Jesus reaffirmed in along with the death penalty for violating it (see Matthew 15:4), and Paul emphasized it
(see Ephesians 6:2-3). By dressing contrary to parent's wishes we are saying, "My friends are more important to me than my parents." Is this the message we want to give?

9. If We Are Soldiers for Christ
Soldiers have uniforms that tell their enemy that they have set aside their personal rights ambitions and are united in the goal of conquering even if it means laying down their lives! We are soldiers of Christ in a war with Satan who is relentless in his attacks against believers, marriages, families, churches and nations. We are the first line defense and we are commanded to "endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ" (2 Timothy 2:3). Can you imagine an army in which every soldier wore what he chose?

10. If we Recognize Classic Designs
Classic designs in clothing are always in style, whereas fads come and go. Jesus had a very limited wardrobe, but what He had was of good quality. This quality was such that the soldiers cast lots for His coat rather than dividing it among themselves.
