Challanging

These past 4 days have been a challenge. We had Francois Carr here from South Africa. He spoke on the Holy Spirit. It was challenging and uncomfortable. Just when you think you have reached a new level you find out that there is so much more and where you are is nothing compared to where you can be.

The indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Him living in you and beside you. Seeing everything you do, say, and even think. It has brought me to a new realization. I can't do some of the things I used to do. Not that they were bad in themselves but in the light of the Holy Spirit seeing everything you do and in the light of eternity they are nothing so why do them. I'm gonna have to pull out my notes yet and jot down some of the things he spoke about. You might get a lot of thinking and processing posts this week.

"When the sun starts to rise and I open my eyes, You are Good.
So Good.
In the heat of the day, with each stone that I lay, You are Good.
So Good.
With every breath I take in, I'll tell you I'm grateful again.
When the Moon climbs high before each kiss goodnight, You are Good.

"When the road starts to turn, around each bend I've learned,
You are Good. So Good.
And when somebodies hand holds me up helps me stand,
You are so Good.
With every breath I take in, I'll tell you I'm grateful again.
'Cause its more than enough just to know that I am loved and you are Good.

"So how can I thank you? What can I bring?
What can these poor hands lay at the feet of a King?
So I'll sing you a love song, its all that I have;
to tell you I'm grateful for
holding my life in your hands.

"When its dark and its cold, and I can't feel my soul.
You are So Good.
When the world has gone gray and the rains here to stay;
you are still good.
So with every breath I take in I'll tell you I'm grateful again.
And the storm may swell even then, it is well.
And you are Good.

"So how can I thank you? What can I bring?
What can these poor hands lay at the feet of a King?
So I'll sing you this new song, its all that I have;
to tell you I'm grateful for
holding my life in your hands.

That is one of my favorite songs right now

Blessings to you all as you seek Gods face

THROUGH ME

"Love through me, Love of God;
There is no love in me.
O Fire of love, light Thou the love
that burns perpetually.

"Flow through me, Peace of God;
Calm River, flow until
No wind can blow, no current stir
A ripple of self-will.

"Shine Through me, Joy of God;
Make me like Thy clear air,
That Thou dost pour Thy colors through,
As though it were not there.

"O Blessed Love of God,
That all may taste and see
How good Thou art, once more I pray:
Love through me - even me."

Christmas is coming

Well November has started. And the Sunday School has officially started with their Christmas Play. I'm really involved this year. My sister Sherry and I had the privilege of writing the script. It is so hard to find a good play off the internet so these past few years we have written our own, this is the first year that I have added in writing it. That is totally finished though which is a blessing.

At first My sister and I were going to direct it but it turns out that she can't so now my "co-director" Abe Fehr and I are doing it, which could prove to be interesting.

The Play is called "The Reason Why". A Grandma is telling the Christmas story to 4 of her grandchildren when she is interrupted and questioned as to why Jesus came to earth if he had a perfect home in heaven. so she goes all the way back to the beginning of time when sin first entered the world and Jesus coming to earth was Gods way of restoring that broken relationship.

Its really neat.

Why do People Worry?

This is one thing the Lord has really been convicting me of. Lately I've really been worrying about my future. I know, I know I'm only 16 but hey the devil gets in where ever he can. Nevertheless the Lord has brought it to my attention in many different ways first through my thoughts then through my Bible reading, then believe it or not through School. as most of you know I home school and we use the "Wisdom Booklets" They go though sermon on the mount verse by verse and apply it to all your subjects. its really neat. So this month our verses just happened to be Matthew 6:25-26 which says...

"Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?"

Talk about convicting. We're not even supposed to worry about what we're going to eat or wear!!! If we're not supposed to worry about these things and that life is more than this what is life about than?

Well in James it says that our life is but a vapor that appeareth for a little time and then it vanishes. Have you ever watched steam rise from your cup of morning coffee (for those who do that drink coffee) or form a pot of boiling water, how long does it stay there? for only seconds. Thats what our life is. we are only here for a short time. what are doing with our short life? are we building with hay, wood, stubble, or are we building with gold, silver, and precious stones? what will happen when our life is tried before Jehovah himself with fire? what happens to hay, wood, and stubble go into the fire? if you build with this you will end up with just ashes. But if we have built with gold, silver, and precious stones when the fire comes to them what will happen? nothing you can't burn gold, silver, and precious stones, you just change them from solid to liquid. But we can't literally build with gold, silver, and precious stones. What does the Bible mean when it tells us in 1Corinthians 3:13-15
" Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire."

A part of a sermon (which I have quoted some what already) I heard explained it like this. you know what I'll give you one better I'll let you listen to it for yourself.

I don't think I need to say any more. this is what we should base our lives on. When I hear this I wonder why things like food and clothes much less my future seem so important in the light of eternity. I should be more concerned with what I build my life on than what my life consists of.

Sorry I'm rambling. but all this seems to make this clearer to me. Thanks for hanging in there (if you read all of this!).
